What is “Political CSI”?
In the real world of advocacy, politicians are not robots – they are human beigns with specific interests, backgrounds, and hobbies. Before you send a single email to a policymaker, you need to map their power and find their “hook”.
Guided by first-hand insights from a former core team member of the well known European Citizens’ Initiative (guess which one?), you will step into the shoes of political detectives.
The Mission:
Participants will be automatically divided into small international “CSI Units” in Zoom Brekout rooms. Each team will receive a classified case file of a real Member of the European Parliament (MEP). Your job? Cyber-stalk their profiles, investigate their public voting records, find their secret passion and craft the perfect “Golden Message” to hack your way into their office.
What you will get in 2 hours:
- Real insights: Hear first-hand from a former core member of a massive European Citizens’ Initiative
- Real Skills: Master the art of background research, power-mapping, and concise diplomacy under pressure.
- International Networking: Connect with peers from all over Europe.
Important Notice: To maintain a high-quality strategic environment, we have a strict “cameras ON, no slacking” policy.

A note before you enter the investigation: This is a game, and the language of this invitation is intentionally playful. The purpose is not to “hack” politicians, invade anyone’s privacy, or promote political manipulation. It is a hands-on exercise designed to let you experience advocacy in practice: researching public information, understanding decision-makers, identifying relevant connections, and developing a strategic advocacy message. All research will be based on publicly available information and conducted within the boundaries of responsible and ethical advocacy.
