DYBJI is a project coordinated by STRIM, a Polish association that has the support from European Comission through ERASMUS+ Program, Key Action 2, Strategic partnership. The project counts on the participation of five different countries: Spain, Poland, Italy, Romania and Slovakia. We (Youropia) are in charge of the project in Spain.

But... What is it about  and how come we are doing common activities in five different associations? The project, in general, is based in the organization of independent activities that will be done in the different countries between January 2015 and August 2016, with the common aim to promote lifelong learning and the social participation from a group of adults (specially with fewer opportunities). The characteristics of the workshops/sessions  depend basically on the organizations, but generally are oriented to: different types of methods, labour-market orientation, digital competences development, soft skills, informal meetings for active leisure, etc.

Based on this premise, we have created two working groups that are completely different one from the other: on one hand we have a group in the Arboleya Centre - FASAD  (for people with disabilities) and on the other hand, a group of women (and one man till now, but we are opened to have more :D) from Asturias Acoge (immigrants). Until July 2015 we've done 17 workshops, with different aims depending on the group we were working with, here you have more about our activities.

L´Arboleya:

Our relation with L´Arboleya started last year and we have previously worked in another project called "El Emocionario". Basically we have a group of 20 people with whom we have unforgettable moments and we make activities such as: soft skills development, emotional management, effective communication, press analysis and selection of the most important for them, storytelling to develop some subjects, games, dynamics, activities with people from outside of the centre and everything they might propose and we can do :) Needless to say how positive it is for both parts and how difficult is leaving sometimes

Asturias Acoge

From 2013 we have a knitting group that meets on Thursday. Some people makes it as hobby, some people gets to sell some of their products. Our idea started there, Why not teaching crochet to immigrant people for them  to make their own clothes or even try to sell them? We already counted on Mar, Amina and Eva´s support (all of them volunteers from Asturias Acoge) and the result has been fantastic. We have already taken part in one market. Our group is so talented that we have even created our trademark for the products.
